I have a turbo 3 and a 1.3L flywheel I got from another member. . And another complete turbo 3 parts car for my 92 that I hope to get in soon. I just don't understand why this one clutch kit won't work when all the flywheels (turbo and 1.3L) are the same.

May be some smart aleck bought that clutch kit, installed it, then stuck some other clutch kit he found in the package and returned it to get his money back and Lordco put it back on the shelf. I remember reading one post about clutches where someone got the wrong pressure plate in the right box. I've sometimes bought supposedly new parts that were obviously repacks, with little bits missing and whatnot, though all the clutch kits I've bought were fine.
I know of people who get core charges back by returning miscellaneous junk alternators and whatnot that are not the alternator they removed from their vehicle and bought the replacement for.
Maybe its a manufacturers defect. I once bought a new Fenco brake master cylinder that didn't work.

I have been in the parts industry for 14 years. I have almose seen it all. I made sure it wad the right kit (one if the 2) by ordering in another and compareing them. And trust me. Stay as far away from fenco products as you can. They have the highest failure rate out there. Like you experienced. Most dont even work out of the box. I know what im doimg as I have like I said been in the industry for 14 years. Im a journeyman parts technician and have also been turning wrenches for 25 years. So im not a newbe at this stuff.

Ya, I figured that out, after the non-working brake master cylinder experience I have never bought another Fenco product. That totally sucks that you have the experience to know you got the right part but the thing still doesn't work properly. I hope you get it solved. It's beyond my level of mechanical competence and knowledge and experience to guess what the problem may be.

Well. I feel like a hack and know it's not the best way to do it. But I got it working. I put a 0.03" washer under all the mounting points flywheel to presume plate. And now it will release. It seams to still grip good. So will have to see how long it lasts for.

Ok in that case I think you may of taken too much off the flywheel when resurfacing it or it's been machined twice, I found with my resurfaced flywheel once the clutch disk wore down the springs in the clutch ground on the flywheel bolts, scary.

I checked that spec. It's only 0.004" off "new" but it's almost like that clutch kit was meant for a stepped flywheel or something. I don't know. All I care about is that it's working for now. If it hold until I get a job great.

What an ingenious trick. Glad you got it mobile, good luck with it.
