Trying to figure out why my fuel pump may cycle one time or it may cycle 6 times when the key is first turned on. I assumed it was due to an injector leaking and the pump was trying to build pressure but after removing my fuel rail and flushing my fuel line I noticed it would cycle one time or 6 times with no back pressure it would do What ever it felt like. The same way it did with the rail installed. I assumed with no restriction it would just run continuously but that's not the case. I can hear the fuel relay clicking off and on.
So I now know my theory of the fuel pump is wrong and would like it if some one could give me a crash course on it.
Thanks in advance. Edd

Changed my fuel pump relay and it is only cycling once. That was it.
