Long time lurker now ready to start my build.
The car is a 1995 geo 3/5 na
I had the chance to buy a complete 1991 stock turbo setup including wiring harness. The only thing that was missing was the block, pistons and knock sensor
I want to drop off the block to machine shop to get bored for the 75 mm vitara pistons and clean up the crank. The only thing i need is the thread of the turbo oil return line and knock sensor. I have located the location on the na block that they go but i have searched in vain for the thread dimensions. I read somewhere on here they are a british pipe thread but can not find anything definitive. I know many have converted the na block. (T3 ragtop and others).

I will be posting pictures this weekend of the car and of the parts ( for the last two weeks i have been just cleaning and inspecting parts as well as testing every sensor as per the fsm which i downloaded from cjdave's thread).

I thank you all for all the posts that are on here and the time taken to document what you all have done.

Here are some pictures of the car how it is now and the parts that came with the turbo setup that I bought.

Dropped off the block and crank to the machine shop today. They said that it would be 10 days, I hate waiting. I could not find the info for the knocksensor and oil return line thread size so I will have to do that myself once I find the info. 75 mm vitara pistons and .1 mm under for the crank skim the top and balance.

The oil supply line is the one that's threaded. Not the return line. It's just a press-fit flared tube. Not sure about the threads, but I'm fairly sure the knock sensor is a common metric thread. Match up the threads on what you have with a tap and die set and you'll have your answer. 8)

MAking new exhaust gaskets with sheet copper, drywall zip tool, and double stick tape. Also a picture of the oil return I am assuming and the threads that I do not know. That is the problem I do not have the knock sensor it is the one thing that I am missing.

Yup. That's the supply line, alright. The return/drain is drilled and pressed in just above the oil pan. It's just a gravity drain. The supply should thread right into an existing blocked off (with a hex socket plug) supply line in the block. I don't recall having to drill/tap that one. PM t3ragtop, he may recall the thread type for the knock sensor. Or my old build thread might have it, somewhere down a few posts.

Edit: Here it is. Granted it doesn't say what thread it was for the knock sensor, I know it was a common metric thread since I used my own tap and die set. There was no need to create a new oil supply port, it's already there. The rest of the thread talks about piston options:

Knock sensor, brand new:

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/mitsubishi-Engine-Knock-Sensor-E1T25171A/611178368.html

I am assuming that the idea I have that knock sensors are the same between Cultus G13b and G10 is correct, which I am fairly sure of, but you may want to double check.

Hope it doesn't break your $500 bank

Well I looked for the connector on the wiring harness and as per the wiring diagram this should be it. Teeth the link looks about the right size but the wrong connector I found these but too much

N/A engine comes out

On a side note I have been scouring everywhere looking fora wiring diagram for 89-91 canadian turbo. I have downloaded CJDave's but am unable to blow up and print and still read. If anyone has a good digital scan of it I would be greatfull.

Still searching for a knock sensor I have found some on ebay that I think are correct but at $160 I will keep looking for a used one.

Here's a link to the original GIF, not sure if it's good enough, but I've mentioned to bredenal that I can clarify stuff for him if necessary. If/when I clear up any ambiguous labels, this link (and image) will always point to the best version!

Dude, the knock sensor I posted is the correct part--yet, apparently the connection is different, so splice the connections or get a completely different connector???? (at a savings of $140...)

Anybody with a factory T3 that can confirm the part # and check the connection?

The part that OP posted has the right connector and looks a lot like the original.

Week end fun while the wife was away. I picked up the block and the crank from he machine shop on fri and have been building it all weekend. I was impressed with the machine work they took everything right to what I wanted and everything was within .0001 here are a couple of pics of the motor I had taken a bunch during the build but I forgot the sd card

After this I got the intake and fuel rail all in. All I have left is the oil return line to the pan from the turbo ( i have a na block no return fitting)

and the knock sensor I think I found one local "he has to find it in the garage" I might have to buy the one listed above and solder on a new connector. Anyone have a bad knock sensor they want to sell me the connector off off

As a side note is the black connector that I have pictured above the knock sensor connector? I have scoured the wiring diagram and it shows a R for red wire to it an this connector has 2 wires one r/bl one white but all of the other connectors on the engine wire harness are something else as per the diagram.
