I'm back fellas, this time with something older.
I found myself a 1987 Chevy Sprint Turbo. It needs some help as it's been sitting in the back of a machine shop for 20-something years.

Let the fun begin!!!

It would... But I need to do some damage control first I guess.

Passenger side definitely has the most cancer.

Driver's side isn't bad but there is some light coming through.

Though the first order of business is to see if I can get the engine to fire over/see if it is suitable to run. I noticed that the passenger frame horn seemed tweaked, as did the whole front passenger side.
Horrible picture but the CV appears to rub the framehorn...
(This is passenger side behind the tire, closest to the door)

Coolant passage was open to the elements on the front as you can see in the pictures but I drained from the bottom of the block port and it was fresh green which is GREAT! Tomorrow I'll begin looking into the engine. I took the intercooler and radiator out this afternoon before removing carpet and cleaning the interior. Clock shows 87k and I wonder how many times it's rolled haha.

If I can get everything checked out and I can justify dumping money into it, I found this deal and called them up. $208 with road-hazard shipped to my door.

I swear, I was just minding my own business when a wrench flew into my hand...

It was then revealed to me the ugly truth of this little guy.
Obviously it has been pretty severely damaged in the front end at some point and someone slagged the whole thing back to together-ish.

Oh yeah, and the core support is bent to hell and all but one bolt head broke off.
This is going to be a fun little project.
Here's where it sits for the evening, and I did throw a 17mm on the crank AND... It spins free and has some level of compression!!!

So it's been a little bit since my last post but I've got everything back on the car and I'm trying to track down the charge piping from turbo to intercooler but I've had almost negative luck!

I'll keep trying but I may have to end up going the flex hose route...

Fate has reared it's cruel head.

I've got to sell the little booger or part it out as I am going to be moving soon and I already have to figure out how to move 3 vehicles, a camper trailer and the rest of my house plus a dirt bike...
Anyone need parts or want to toss an offer out? I'm in Lubbock, TX.
