Doing some rocker welding on my MKI T3 and they put a replacement rocker and simply screwed the ground effects screws into the rocker w/o the square plastic anchors that go into square holes on the rocker.

..... searching internet.....

Yep, they are called plastic screw nuts typically and there are many sizes. Actually the license plate nuts and screws might be close enough since they typically have large diameter heads.

Does anyone know what are the closest to OE?

EDIT: I'm sort of figuring this out bit by bit, but I'm trying to get this done quickly and don't have a lot of time to find parts. BUT, the screw type is a "truss head."

Appears the screw is a

#14 Truss head sheet metal screw with a pitch diameter of about 0.1 inches. These are cheap: 25 in stainless for $5-ish.

Working on the nut now...
