Spent more than I wanted to, but I got it.

The floor isn't too bad though, just a few holes. I'll patch 'em up.

I found out the cause of the damge. He hit a deer!! the bumper support is broken as well as the rad support being bent. hood is FUBAR.

Anyone got a hood lying around they want to give me? if not I'll just either unsmash that hood or just bungee it and leave it.

I got it running. fired right up, after I hooked up a battery.

No smoke out of the exhaust, but lots under the hood. looks like it's time for a new water pump and alternator. And belt.

Where can I get those CHEAP? anyone got a used one kicking around they want to donate?

I didn't get to drive it due to the sized belt, but it looked like fun. :) the intercooler is TINY!!!! that will be the first thing to go.

The intercooler is not really that badly sized. Put it into perspective, look at the turbo. It is just in the wrong place.
I may have a decent hood. You have my #
Call me when you want to make it fast. :D

I went to the junkyard today.

$250 gets me:

New bumper, bumper support, brackets
Rad support
alternator
water pump
hood
headlights
turn signals
4 BRAND NEW (still have nipples on the tread) tires on steel wheels.
if I pull the stuff.

I think I'll fix this body, there are some holes in the floor but overall it's not too bad.

superfly: I got your number, when is a good time to call? I usually work 1PM-10PM. I'll try and call you before work tomorrow, ok? Actually, I'll call right now, too

Nice catch... was that from a T3? Nothing of interest seems to pop up in London anymore. A couple of years ago saw two Mk2 and one Mk1 turbo show up at Andy's, but then that's been pretty much it.

What parts do you need? I'll see what I can do.

Fantastic! Dunno why I didn't think of doing something like that.

I wonder... is a parking ticket valid if they don't have the make of the car right?

Chris

You can have a case if there is a substancial difference, like the ticket stating your vehicle was a burgundy Ford Bronco, when in fact you were driving a white Swift. Also because of the variety of different vehicles that the body was used for, it would be trivial to confuse them when they're trying to decide if your car is a Suzuki, Geo, Chevy or Pontiac. Leaving some old parking permits scattered across your dash board can also conveniently *ooops* obstruct your VIN number (now they only have your plates to go on). On an extreme level, you could even contact your insurance provider and get updated paperwork indicating that your car is a different color now (this will get you in trouble if you ever get pulled over by the po-po's, so I wouldn't do it)
