I bought a 94 Swift 4-door sedan today for $100. :-) As near as I can tell, it shares most parts with Swift hatchbacks of the same year and has a lot of Metro compatible parts. The big question is...Does it have the same 3.52 final drive ratio transaxle as the 1.3 SOHC hatch? It supposedly has a blown head gasket at 183k miles. Is it common for that engine to have just a blown head gasket and not a severly warped head and cooked rings?

I have a scan of a '94 Swift brochure and both the sedan and SOHC hatch have the 3.523 final drive.

My '92 SOHC 1.3L had a blown head gasket. No warpage, but it still runs like crap with a new gasket. :?

Bought a 94 GA SOHC with a fresh head gasket; compression is equal but low across the board; similar results as Gasoline Fumes. It works, but doesn't have the acceleration of any of my other Suzukis.
Might put in a 3 tech cam to see if that helps, or else I'm going to sell it. Too bad. Otherwise a solid unit.

Once you get the cars dialed-in (compression, leaks, bearings, alignment, brakes) swap in new rubber and glass, you've got something which should last for years!
