Hi all im new here..

I have a 91 metro and I'm interested in looking at a propane conversion. Anybody know what size impco would be appropriate? I can probly get an Impco 125 for free but it may be over sized. Also I dunno what all the critical components would be for a dual fuel conversion. I work with natural gas powered engines to an extent so im confident in the area of plumbing a system, just dont know what all is need to a proper/safe propane setup.

I know mine isn't a metro, but I do run my sami on propane and it will soon be powered by a 3cyl metro motor on propane. I went to Gotpropane.com and picked up his kit for the 1.3 sami motor and talked to Cary about it, he says you can simply adjust the carb down to lower the idle flow and it should work just fine for the 1.0. I already had it working on my 1.3 and SWEAR by pane now!!

I will be running up and getting a 1.0 next weekend and after getting it running again I will post some pics of it installed and running on the pane. I do believe the mixer is an impco 125 also.

Later Daze,
Shorty

I goofed up in my first post, mine is a 225 mixer... Hopefully not so big as to choke out my little 3cyl..
Thanks for the link ill check them out. What im really looking for is something of a primer on propane kits. I'd like to piece one together to run my car dual fuel if i can...

If you email cary I believe he will tell you that the 225 is more for a V8 than a 3 cyl. I would check further into it than guessing, I use a 125 on my sami 1.3 and have it turned WAY down. Just trying to help.
