using 175/70/14 tires when the speedo cable is for the 12's.... so im still about 7.5% off. which would make my 40.11 actually equal 43.11 on this car.

Ive spent $2031 since feb 17th :D

this was the nicest driven tank since then. anticipating my td04+manifold to show up any day now, so I wanted to have a decent comparative baseline for after 3-4 months when I decide to drive the td04 nicely. I dont see why I couldnt squeeze 45mpg outta this thing.

oh and also 97% all city :D

Although you're using some of the best machined parts available for your engines, your mileage is more attributable to your 'right foot control'.

For a street car,(once in awhile) it's nice to know the upper limit of what the mileage could be if you drive like a grandmother. Might also want to get a vacuum reading at warm idle, for a baseline, before you swap in your next set of parts. Bet it's a nice value, too.

Once you get your new parts on, it'll probably be a few weeks before you can 'settle in' and give an updated mileage figure...you'll want to put your foot in it, and who could blame you.

Nice values, and great driving.

You had your fun, now go make a Honda or Toyota look bad!

Once you get the cars dialed-in (compression, leaks, bearings, alignment, brakes) swap in new rubber and glass, you've got something which should last for years!
