Could literally be 100's of things, hard to tell without more information. It's not EGR though.

Any SES codes?

Outside temperatures?
Do you idle your car alot?
How do you drive?

Too many variables.....

No codes. New O2 sensor, plugs, oil, etc. Even swapped out the TBI to see if that was the problem. Running so rich you can see and smell it. Runs like a raped ape, but is ultra rich.

Any results on this problem? I didn't think it was possible for a 1.0L to have that much fuel run through the engine.

Havent had time to mess with it yet, but I got a new coolant temp sensor and picked up a couple of MAP sensors on eBay. Also borrowed a compression tester just to check things out.

I'll let you know.

Seems to have been the MAP sensor. Put a new one in and got most of my mileage back. Still need to do some work on it to get it back up in the mid 40 mpg range again. It threw a code this AM, so I need to plug the good ol diagnostic port and count some flashes I suppose.

AND DAMN!!! Just remembered, in my quest to find a solution to my poor mileage, I swapperd the TBI from my '93 Lsi onto my '94 xfi. Wonder if that made a difference?

XFI TB is smaller.....so I have been told. yet non-xfi's have been proven to get well over 55-60mpg with the "bigger" TB.

What I was saying is that my non-xfi tb is on my xfi motor right now. I may need to put the xfi one back on to get more mpg.
