I just had my 1L up to 145kmh and had more power left. I'd do a tune up if I were you.

My 99 1.3 does 114 mph in 4th gear (gps). Gutted cat, k&n, lowered 1.5" in front. Got 48 mpg a couple of times that I really worked at it, usually get low-mid 40s in the summer.

I run My old Sprint 91 265000k (cauz I have a worn wheels bearings on My firefly (my avatar)), original clutch and engine, and yesterday on the highway 40 near Montreal, I topped over 140kmh, and have enough power to speed up at 150-155 I guess, and the car is on the 12" original tires

If You stop at 120kmh, You definately have a problem under the hood, wrong timing or someting else.

Regards,

Dom.

My 1.0 did 160 km/h on old steel 13" rims and a wrecked clutch. Now it only does 150/155 km/h with the new clutch and 14" alloy rims.

But 120 as a top speed? I can drive that in 3rd gear

mph vs kph

When my Metro was stock i got it to 95 with a passenger numerous times, it just took a minute or ten. It'll do well over 95 know but i run out of guts past that.

Whoa!

The lurker! :p

Nice Swift there, I don't know, but it seems the Suzuki versions even though built in the same factory seem to be better built, and the Pontiac versions are some of the worst. :bleh:

Here's my '94 Swift 1.0 5spd 4.10:1 tranny rocking on 155/80R13 winters with a 1 inch lift in the front and 1.5 in the back.

*note: 31MPG is with a seizing alt that forced a 2000 idle rpm and basically harsh driving aka 4200rpm at 110kph.
