Just post what car you have, and what kind of mileage you're getting.

1989 Suzuki Swift
17km/L (roughly 40mpg)
mostly highway

(converting km/L to MPG: http://www.vangeyn.net/mpg/?km=17&submit=Convert)

I figure out my km/l by resetting my trip meter when I fill my tank, and when I fill it again, I take the tripmeter number in km and divide it by how may litres I put in my car to fill.

Let's just make a big list. There's lots of threads, but they're commonly about whatifs and chitchat.

New plugs, new wires, and made the wiring from my O2 sensor more solid, as well as the engine to car body ground.

Now, my MPG jumped from 39.99 mpg to 49.4 mpg, that's crazy!!!! I think it was mostly my 02 sensor.

1993 Metro 324,000/ miles
Average 58mpg
High 67mpg
Just received my Mpguino over the weekend and will install it this week. I'm hoping with "real time" monitoring I will be able to break into the 60's. Also I'm not one of those that crawl along in the slow lane backing up traffic to get a extra 1 mpg on my daily commute. I average my 58 mpg doing 65/70 miles an hour. I got the 67 mpg last month at a Fuel challenge here in Washington state, had the wife and the kid in the Metro, and the only thing different I did, was do the speed limit on the overall course and on the freeway I only went to 55 mph.

Last tank was 26mpg. Is that bad? :P Had just beat the car on the way to an auto-x, beat it for 11 runs there and then started back home the "fun" way. Tank before that was 29mpg.

I auto-x it. Only. 80% of the time it's either at WOT or on it's way to WOT. Besides, it's a DOHC 4-cyl tat loves to rev. What else am I gonna do with it? Lug it? Not likely.

I achieved 4.9 / 100 just awhile ago when traveling from Grande Prairie to Vancouver, don't ask how, that was my old engine, stock with 325 000 km. That was 60 liters for that trip.
No word on the new engines fuel economy yet.

Seems like a lot of guys get 45mpg on their 3 cyls on the highway, and GTs get 40 or so.

Thanks for all the info dudes. Thread like this should encourage people to tune up their cars.

My GTi was in the mid/high 30's. Not too shabby for a little pocket rocket!

1997 Geo Metro LSI 1.3L, auto, A/C, all stock, needs paint.
I have owned my geo for about 6 years now. When I first got the Geo I was getting about 29mpg highway with ac on. After 6 years of tweeking, I now get 48mpg highway with ac on at 65mph. I have tuned the engine to run on premium. If I go back to using regular, the mileage drops to 39.8 mpg highway.

What have you done to tune with higher octane?

You do realize that the lower the octane, the better the burn? That's why people up the octane when increasing power, to keep that well burning fuel from pre-igniting.
