Well, lets see....I replaced the egr solenoid, the egr valve, replaced all vacuum hoses, replaced the front wheel bearings, replaced IAC sensor, replaced MAP sensor, replaced the coolant temp. sensor, put in a 3.79 tranny , wheel skirts addition, rear bumper undertray, and I still only get 42 MPG's.

Any one have ideas why i'm not tickling 50 mpg's with all of these changes?

your 96 right? 50mpg is going to be a hard nut to crack.

First thing I would do? if you hitting 45-46 just slowing down 5mph across the board might nudge you to 50mpg.

in my 94 xfi I see a 1mpg boost for every 1mph I slow down (down to around 40mph then its not so big a gain after that)

45-46 in a 96 metro is pretty darned nice. you can hit 50mpg is you work at it or hit a few 400mile 50mph highway trips you will get 50mpg for sure then :-)
