I was looking over some of the under-body aero mods discussed in another thread. And it occurred to me that when I got my '88 Sprint, 18 years ago... it didn't have any sort of splash guards under the engine compartment. Did these cars have anything like that originally? Or was it all open? Low tech and unimaginative, I know. But if it had them originally, I'd like to have them. And it might make a small difference in under-body turbulence. And also... block splashes.
