I have a 4 door 93 Geo Metro 1L. Mild aero mods. Got an xfi ecu from and 89 or 90 but doesn't seem to plug in. Will a later model xfi ecu fit? Getting an xfi cam tomorrow or thursday. I have a 1.3L 1990 fwd sohc manual trans swift. I believe the fifth gear and final gear from the swift are the tallest(or shortest???) ever produced. From what I have read this is a direct transmission swap. I just want to swap the whole trans and differential correct? No need to do any gear swapping between the transmissions? Am I correct in this being the lowest highway possible rpm transmission I can get for my metro?

I think this is what I'm getting in the swift transmission:
Final: 3.523
1st gear: 3.416
2nd. gear 1.894
3rd gear: 1.280
4th gear: 0.914
5th gear: 0.757
Reverse: 3.272

did the cam swap. I have to say its preeetaaaaaaaay good.

Fifth gear is the same , the only difference is the final drive ratio (and possibly the mounting lug for the shifter brace rod). Your stock transmission had a 4.10 final drive, replacement is a 3.52, the tallest possible ratio (lowest number).
