They claim that you can run hotter without damage. Hotter does mean less fuel. How do I know? Try starting a carbed engine in the winter without the choke....

Here is their PDF stating what they believe to be the benefits. Carbs can benefit more than an EFI engine sans tuning.....

Ehh... there whole thing is about cavitation, if you want to look at coolant designed to defeat cavitation, look at Diesel engine coolant or Prestone Low-Tox.

Diesels run a hell of a lot hotter than our gas engines, and the do just fine with water and the proper anti-freeze. Stuff like Dex-Cool of course sucks ass at protection against cavitation.

There is also the fact that -40 can be hit, where as a good water based coolant can go down to -67. Not a lot but when I've been watching the mercury and it's at -38, it's not comforting knowing your only 2c from having freeze plugs go pop.
