I am going to put a new head gasket on my '96 Metro 4 door 1.3L and I was intending to put on a 3tech cylinder head with an economy cam and maybe do the rings if the compression test says I need it. I'm also going to oversize tires from 13" to 15" rims. I called 3tech and they do not have heads or cams or stainless steel exhaust valves for the 4 cylinder. I called Delta and they said the only thing they have for the 4cyl is a cam grind for low end torque but not for fuel economy. 3Tech said the cam on this engine is a pretty good grind as it is. My question is since I can't get a better cam for fuel economy does anyone know anything I can do to really improve the fuel economy of a 1.3l? Thanks.
