I put 13 inch tires in place of my 12s thinking lower rpms = better gas milage but actually got worse mpg.
(I adjusted calc for whl size difference)

I did notice it took more pedal on the hills...

I thought the same thing till I found out the speedo/odometer is off. You can get real results if you GPS the smaller tire bigger tire effect on hwy speeds. In the city I don't think it would work out as well. It would also look, I'm retarded work better with a XFI cam.

I think standard level is 15 inch, although smaller cars may have a 13 or 14 inch wheel. I suggest you to use 13 or 14 inch tyre and inflate to the proper pressure based on load ratings for your tires and it can improve your vehicle's performance as well.
