White car with light gray interior.

Doesn't have to be perfect - just better than what I have.

PM's only.

i had the same problem with mine ( cracked from age, heat and sun) my local upholstery shop removed the old ones made new ones using nearly identical vinyl and re-installed them for about $80.00 U.S.(a few years back.) so that was my solution, good luck with yours and best wishes, Jonathan

Made new ones out of vinyl? Sounds like they were a soft "upholstering?" I suppose with the right padding, getting clamped along their perimeter and not being very wide, it might just work out.

In fact, that would match the lightly upholstered "top" of the door panel.

I'm considering not adding any kind of aftermarket part (would replace with OE) and keep the car as a "survivor." I don't know if it is "legal" to place an OE part on a survivor, or is that breaking the rules?

I don't think there was originally any padding at at all on mine, and it would seem to me that this little bit of vinyl was one of suzuki's many economy's , I don't think any of us will live to see the day when the "Date Code" police show up at a Show were our car's are appreciated.

(I've been down that road,) Years ago my 69 Hurst/Olds had points deducted for not Having the "Correct" Tar top battery, The "Correct" date codes on my hose clamps, and the incorrect shade of foam (color) having been used to make the seals for the ram air system. I stopped playing with the real collector cars shortly there-after. if some one is going to have a cow about my otherwise pristine restored charger, not having the precisely correct Gator-grain applied to the vinyl roof. then LET HIM. the other 99.999% of show goers just appreciate the fact the car is still so nice and I bask in those complements. so yes it may get to that point someday, but I doubt it. In the mean time , Just fix the car up to enjoy and drive it.,It 'll just be our little secret.

Best wishes, Jonathan

Oh yes, I've had my fill of the Originality Police.

But I get more of a charge from seeing a survivor with everything correct over some insane restoration. Anyone can do a restoration - just throw bushels of $$$ at it. A survivor is like seeing some species that was thought to be extinct. ... oh wait... these cars are extinct!

But that darn MISSING LHS bumper rub strip - now that is another matter. It's a MISSING part.

That is my #1 to find item. And thank goodness, that is the only one part I'm missing.
