Hello,

I have a 1989 GTi rear seat bottom cover in great shape, but the rods in the foam and the foam itself are bad/bent.

As best I can tell (not sure) it appears the foam seat in the GTi is different from the 89-94 Geo Metro hatchbacks and I'm not sure about a base model Swift.

Anyone know about interchangeablity?

Anyone have a good GTi seat/foam with a bad cover they would sell?

Or the complete seat bottom?

Same question on GeoMetroForum (GMF):

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.
Between your post here and on GMF, you will probably find a source for your part, although you seem to micromanage the situation.
Have you tried the local wrecking yards?

Never seen a GT in a wrecking yard in western Washington in the past few years. The last I saw was in Chilliwack Canada over a year ago.

Except there is one at the PnP in Lynnwood. But he has already been to check it out.

Thanks for the help guys.

One member priced shipping for me from Canada and it's way to high, so it looks like I'll need to find one within about a three hour drive of Seattle or maybe someone in the lower 48 could ship for a reasonable amount. Somone suggested you can ship large items on the Grayhound bus line very reasonable but I haven't tried it yet.

I don't remember exactly but it was in the $140 USD range for the shipping only.
