title may be a little misleading, but ill explain why
its a 91 firefly, with a 91 gti parts car, aswell as my 90 t3. im going to mash all these cars together, to create 1 good one and throw the rest away (and sell whats left for cheap)

Im using my t3 motor that made 110whp@10psi with a rough tune, using a megasquirt n spark extra ecu, and using the gti body/interior/harness.

So we start with a bare shell and lots and lots of b-quiet sound deadener... in the pics ive used about 55-60sq feet already

im not going to use the gti rear brakes, although I was previously building a gti and it has new hubs/rotors/pads/ss lines, im planning on selling it, or using it on my 96 metro spec v swap. So im keeping drums for simplicity, bolt all the shit from the sprint to this car and replace the wearable items, so its getting new struts, bushings, front wheel bearings, brakes, balljoints/tie rods... everything basically.

this was the sprint, dyno day

wasnt too impressed, hoping the MS takes care of another 10+whp

not only am I swapping a megasquirt on this thing now, but im also fabbing up a 54mm throttle body from a nissan ca18de. it has the variable output the megasquirt will need, and it also has a built in WOT switch, which ill make use of in the future :D
Replacing the 2.25" straight through muffs sprint exhaust with a 2.75" with a real muffler on the back, and makin SOLID motor mounts out of hockey pucks! haha I saw it done once on here, I got some spares to try out. My poly filled ones arent tough enough

most of today was figuring out some body wiring, dickin around online, and cleaning the car. I used a whole bunch of degreaser and im not going to bother posting the DIRTY pic, but the engine bay is about 80% now, needs a little more cleaning, then some paint!

I also made some solid motor mounts, the stock ones I had poly filled were a noticeable improvement, but didnt stop my wheel hop issue, it felt better with the big cam shaking the whole car, so I cant wait to see what these solids are going to feel like!

Disassembled a bunch of the sprint today, got the whole harness out.

I also decided that my stock injectors at 210cc are too small... was going to rebuild some of my gti injectors at 270cc and use 3 of them on here, but im gonna use my supra 360's, might aswell.

tomorrow: paint engine bay and other accessories, more cleaning, put fenders on?, maybe mock up the cut for the new bumper. not having that shitty sprint bumper now, this ones lower, has fogs, and looks 10x better. no pics yet

I had and still do have a few g13b's sitting around, the drivetrain can only take so much abuse, so I went with what will get me 40+mpg and have upwards of 160whp. Remember my dyno was only 110whp with 10psi. Even with 14.7psi on a stock n/a motor (which I am running n/a rods and pistons for higher compression) I should have only netted 80-90whp. I cant wait to see what this thing can do with the megasquirt, 360cc's and 20psi

and done
Image

im happy with the way things turned out, and now that the paint has cured overnight, its time to mask off the white and paint everything I oversprayed on semi-gloss black

also, im pretty much ready to start installing stuff
Image

my gr2s are going into the spring assembly, im using the h&r blue springs and im putting new wheel bearings in the front (did rears already and im taking those parts too)
