So i have been giving this a lot a thought. I know BMW also used hollow; and i read that it was because of rotating mass for higher RPM. But if the G13b is a high revving engine why did it go to solid. What are the pros and cons? I have not heard of Suzuki hollow cams breaking maybe only once. But in reality do hollow have any advantage over solid? Does any one here have a real reason why they would prefer one over the other :?:

No advantage.
I would take solid cores every time because they do not break. I have seen a lot of broken hollow cores, always the exhaust. Chances are, though, if they've lasted this long, they are good ones and won't break.
