Does anyone know if the alternator bracket on a DOHC Twincam is the same as the bracket on the geo 1.0 motor? Mine has snapped and I'm trying to source one locally in a hurry since my car is out of commision without the bracket. Finding one for a geo will be a lot easier.

There is an additional mounting point on the DOHC that goes to the intake. I did not compare them side by side, but I would say that the rest of it looked the same.

Awesome sounds like I'm good to go as soon as I can find one. One of my alternator bolts vibrated out and then the alternator started vibrating and eventually snapped the bracket. I'm an idiot for not figuring it out sooner oh wells at least it was on the lift when the bracket finally snapped the whole way.

the offset is different on the g13 than the g10 so the g13 bracket has a bend in it. also, the upper alternator bracket for the twincam has an additional support that bolts to the intake manifold.

Rats so I really do need the GTI bracket after all. :(

Someone on GeoMetro forum said they might have a gti bracket for me they are going to check on Saturday. In the meantime if anybody has one I'm still looking. :) Perhaps I should move this to the wanted section...
