hey guys my idle air control valve is not hooked up and i always drove the car with the idle set at 1000rpms (i adjusted the screw on the throttle body to this position. however while i am driving the car will die when i throw it in neutral. i found out that the idle speed screw is tightening itself to close while i am driving and i keep having to take a screwdriver and turn it back out to get the car to idle right. how can i stop the screw from tightening itself back and keep it at its fixed position??

You could try a dallop of gasket material on the screw head and let it sit overnight. If it doesn't work you just peel the material off and try something else...
