READ THE WHOLE POSTING!!! ok heres the deal with the car it is over heating but it is still drivable i have used it like that for about two months now i just put coolant every morning. i had mt so called friend rebuild the top engine but he did a crappy job and it pretty much stayed the same. there is a short somewhere so i have to disconnect the the battery everytime i get home from work or if im not going to use it for awhile. the alternator is good so i dont know where the problem is it charges the battery while i drive but it slowly discharges it if i leave it connected when i turn it off. also the radiator fan is connected directly to the battery becuz it doesnt work if its not connected like that. it has new fromt brakes old tires i would replace them if i were u. infact the drivers front tire is a spare but i have the original rim to go with the car. it is 5 speed standard, the ac doesnt work but the heater does. turn signals and lights work. i bought the back tail light so its not broken anymore. where u open the hatch the black plastic piece broke off, u can still open it though. the car shakes some what . i know this car is crappy but i mean its my work car and i could be urs. im asking 700 obo i will consider any offers. i paid like $200 something for plates. tags expire in August of this year and it did pass smog i have the certificate. also the back quarter panels are full with stickers nothing obscene so dont worry. 619 931 0354

Yo. Mx...How did you miss this one.....
Wrong steering wheel, seats, and no dash pad, but here you go:

an average retail 2 door hatchback.

So, 8Sprint5...how low you willing to go now that the Craigslist ad expired again???

And could you post some pictures of the interior and engine compartment please.
It looks like you've done quite a bit of work on it.

Once you get the cars dialed-in (compression, leaks, bearings, alignment, brakes) swap in new rubber and glass, you've got something which should last for years!

Hope you get it maddmatt.

It's a 425 mile trip one way/8 hours driving from San Diego to Hollister over the Grapevine and up I-5.
Add a couple more hours if you take the cooler 101 and stop every hour or so to add water.

With a bad head gasket like that, it probably would be best to drag it or flatbed it home.

Either way:

Welcome aboard!
