posting this one again...it came back up and now it looks like it will be scrapped if not sold by winter. Looks in solid shape, great for a track car

1999 swift. Family owned since new and very clean and shiny. Excellent running 1.3L, 5 speed w/ A/C. Been in storage for past 5 years. Photos are on craigslist ad. This is my 3rd suzuki swift and I have nothing bad to say about them, they offer tremendous value, reliability, & longevity for the cost. Robert 616-550-4440. Grand Rapids, MI

I went to look at this gt today. Drove about 3 hours one way from Springfield just to look at it. Took it for a test drive for a few miles then stopped at the service station i picked for a safety inspection. Before they took it to check it out (10 minutes) the guy texted me "hey". I said that I was just down the road getting an inspection. He said "well I need it back". I was gone for about 30 minutes at that point. I asked him before I left and he said he was off of work for the rest of the day giving no hint that he was doing anything. I'm not trying to write a book here but the guy was shadey and young, maybe dumb. Wouldn't give me the Vin number before I made the drive and then wouldn't let me get a safety inspection after I showed good faith by committing my whole day to this. BE WARNED if you are thinking about buying this car.

Just a quick run down of what I found. Check engine light did illuminate in the on position before started and I didn't see it come back on. Rust hole in driver floor board big enough for both of my feet. Hard clutch pedal. Oil light was on until you accelerated heavily, then it would flicker. Motor ran hot the whole time but would occasionally drop momentarily. Front left wheel seems to sit out of place, pushed toward the back of the car like if you hit curb really hard maybe. Wipers work at a snail speed. Had to jump start the car. Missing right rear glass. Radio bezel busted and half gone. Rust holes in the strut towers in the engine compartment. Fog light switch broken. Hazard light switch broken. Pulls to the left. cracked dash. Drivers seat torn. Emergency brake doesn't work. Can't remember anything else right now.

If anyone runs the Vin on auto check, can you please post results. Thanks

possibly the latest definition of autotragic. =)

it's an interesting combination of a duraflex body kit from andy's motorsport and a veil side wing. :blackeye:
