We no longer need our swift and I'm trying to figure out a fair price to ask locally.

PROs:
Body is in good shape
Interior is in good shape
Clean Carfax
One owner
180k miles
Runs reasonably well for its age. Run on synthetic oil all its life. Had a few things done recently (new brakes, belts, few other items)
Transmition/clutch work great.
Still gets excellent gas mileage.
Passed oregon emissions inspections no problem.

CONs:
Was rear ended in a slow collision. so new rear bumper and muffler. (although it doesn't appear on carfax, which suprises me)
Needs new shocks & tires and I'm sure a few other things if people really wanted to give it a second life.
Has an electrical issue I haven't bothered yet to get checked out and I have no plans on figuring it out myself. (this one: viewtopic.php?t=4537&highlight=).
has the puff of blue smoke when starting cold, then is fine.
Its a canadian car in the US, so odometer is in KM and the speedometer big numbers also km (although the small ones indicate miles, so no speeding excuses). Not sure if people care or not.

I've seen various years 1993-2001 go from $700 - $5000. I don't think its 5k by any stretch.
Would $1750 OBO be a reasonable start?

you told the selling story well, but you left out the important stuff.......year, model, engine, transmission, and condition.

i'm sure we would love to help, unfortunately we are not psychic...... =)

I really have to not do those posts late at night.. I thought I had included that...

year 2001,
model: base not sure if there is anything beyond that. (no power windows, no cruise control)
engine: 4cylinder
transmission: manual
condition cosmetic - pretty good inside and out.. New windshield a few years ago, so no cracks/chips. A few paint chips here and there and one very small dent in a door (caused by a spider being on someone's hand ) I'm pretty sure most people will like how good it still looks.

Condition engine - im not really a mechanic. It runs fine, idles fine, gets oil changes or whatever fluids needed, shifts fine, no problems going 80+, pretty peppy unless you're on a hill (but it's always been like that).

extra stuff to note:
tinted windows
after market cd/stereo (sound dampening material installed in the doors)
the snowboard roof rack as well.
Does have a block heater (but I'm thankful I haven't had to use it for over 10 years)

Things I'm gonna sell separately:
I have 2 sets of rimmed tires (why rimmed? alberta doesn't get much snow in the winter, so driving around in studs is just silly and ice tires only work when it is cold, too soft for at freezing. We liked being able to change tires on the fly)
- studded deep tred snow tires
- ice tires (designed for -15c and below)
probably about 80% tred left on them.
