I have a 1991 Chevy Sprint in Winnipeg, MB Canada that I no longer need as I have replaced it with a 2004 Suzuki Aerio. I know I won't get as good mileage with the Aerio, and I am in some ways sad to retire it, but I think it is for the best that I do so.

I wonder if there would be much interest in this car from this group.

I am not looking to maximize the price I can get for it, I just want to avoid it just going to the shredder, but I don't really want to go through the bother of parting it out either. It was my daily driver up until I purchased the Aerio 2-weeks ago, and could still be today if I had reason too.

I can add more details later but off the top of my head here's what I recall.

It has about 225,000kms (140,000miles) on it. I owned it from about the 175,000km of its life so everything I've done to it has been done in the last 50,000kms. The history previous to that is unknown to me.

  • 3-Tech rebuilt head (economy cam grind) with I'm guessing under 15,000kms on it maybe even less than 10,000kms.
  • New piston rings were also done at the same time.
  • Drivers frame horn welded well, passenger frame horn original but solid.
  • GM CS105 alternator upgrade
  • Instrument cluster swapped from a Turbo for the tachometer (still have old one)
  • Suzuki Esteem front seats
  • Some rocker welding
  • Underdrive pulley
  • Drivers floor patch welded in
  • Replaced front calipers, pads, rotors
  • Replaced rear drums, bearings
  • Replaced battery
  • Both All-season and Winter tires, on rims (both sets getting kind of old though)
  • Heats well in summer, cools well in winter haha
  • Busted radio antenna

Another option I have is to keep it just a little longer as my daughter is eligible to get her learner's driver license this summer. I may wish to keep it so she can grind up the gears and burn out the clutch on this old car learning to drive stick instead of my "new" Aerio.

It's actually kinda funny the mileage Aerio's get....i was going to buy my wife one, but with the 4 banger accord getting the same mileage i decided to go with the accord.
It was definitely a fail on Suzuki's part
