Picked up a 97 firefly today as a spring time autocross toy, looking at upgraded the brakes and stiffening the ride, someone care to point me in the right direction? Also if anyone has a spare G10 laying around in Alberta pm me!

If you haven't been digging in the track-talk section very deeply yet, there are a couple of threads with information on autocrossing our cars.

RMP Rob started this thread for his swapped Geo, but quite a few members post here for general autocross related discussion:

http://teamswift.net/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=47747

Here's some good documentation of what was ultimately a failed attempt at competing in the popular STC class in SCCA. It's a dead thread but there are both good and bad ideas here:

http://teamswift.net/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=41563&hilit=par+deux

Some people had a little more success--another shorter dead thread:

http://www.teamswift.net/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=19487&p=148256

And finally, I am continuing to write up my adventures autocrossing my Mk3 GT here ( ):

http://teamswift.net/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=53180

I look forward to hearing of your success :D

So an update on the little G10 compression is floating at 175/170/175 dry and 200/195/195 wet decided to say screw it and began pulling the motor, I've got it out and on the engine stand in the garage you don't appreciate how tiny the little G10 is until you see it on the stand! I'll be contacting 3tech when I've got the head disassembled, any suggestions on a cam for the turbo build? And what kind of pistons can I use to support the turbo?
