A few months ago I ran across a deal on a wrecked 1.0 XFI metro with a motor that had just been rebuilt less than 200 miles prior to the accident. I picked the car up dirt cheap, pulled the motor and trans and got rid of the rest. Today I finally ran across a standard 1.0 metro with nice body and clean interior with a fried motor.

My question is what do I need from the XFI parts to convert the standard metro over? My goal is reliable car that gets really good gas mileage.

Is there any difference in the head/cam, the throttle body, the control module or transmission? Can these parts be swapped into the standard metro without modification??

yeah ..... should of snagged the ECM.....
XFI ecm is one of the big keys
if it is a true xfi you'll know by looking at the transaxle
also it would have cam & 2 ring pistons
you might get away with a diffrent dizzy/ ecm...just not the same
.
Do a search........ there is lot of thread's here about what a xfi is/does

and if you can't find it let me know.
I'll dig them up and post them
........................................but it would show effort on your part if you find the posts
and in here that goes along way

There are plenty of posting relating to my questions however many appear to be personal opinions and not necessarily based on facts. While all opinion may offer some insight I was looking for facts. If you didn't want to answer the question why bother responding.
