Once you get the cars dialed-in (compression, leaks, bearings, alignment, brakes) swap in new rubber and glass, you've got something which should last for years!

Hansolo is one of the best valve adjusters here on the forum for your type of engine.
He has a special technique that he used on our '94 SOHC.
It sure quieted it down.
Maybe he'll chime in.
Either way, here's hoping you end up with a power plant and NO leaks.

You might want to look for a spare under hood sticker.
They've got all kinds of neat information that might come in handy, or so I've been told.

Come to think of it, the only reason we pulled this hood

was to swap in a hood with the correct sticker for the car.
