I have a 1990 geo that I swapped the motor, trans, wiring, etc into a 1989 suzuki gti chassis. After starting the temp gauge begins to climb all the way to hot. I have replaced the thermostat, sending unit, water pump, gauge cluster, flushed the radiator, then gave up and sent to mechanic. Mechanic said all is fine car is running at correct temp just not reading correctly on gauge. I pulled out the electrical diagnosis service manual supplement. It appears that the fuel gauge and the temp gauge are connected through a bulk/wht wire. I don't think that I changed the wiring going to the fuel tank. Not sure if the sending unit is different between the 1.0 and the 1.3. Any ideas?
