i have a 89 geo metro 1.0 that shifts hard any help i was thinks it might be the shift solinoid but not sure could use some help?

Have you flushed all of the transmission fluid out including what's on the torque converter?

replace with fresh dexron 3 fluid plus add lube gard a/t fluid protectant.

You may need to do this twice in a row. depending on how black your fluid gets after treatment.
