Hi,I have a 91 3 banger 4 door manual 91 sprint.
Both rubber bushings in the rear of the front control arms are or appear to be worn, allowing the front wheels to be pushed backwards and forwards when the car is siting still In Neutral with the hand brake on.
My question is, is there anyway to just replace the rubber bushings.i thought looking at them that I could undo the two bolts holding the retaining bracket and slide/ hammer the bushing off but it's two tight.
Thanks, Roy

You could just replace the rubber... but why?

I think the control arms as a unit, are cheaper than (or at least close to) just the bushings. See Ebay.

The cost of not doing the whole thing is probably greater in the long run. IMHO.

Let me know if you have a buggered thread on the mounts upon reinstall. I might be able to help with that.

Thankyou very much for that, sorry about the delay in reply. The day after I figured it out I went away ...anyway I got what I thought were so good ones from the wrecker, one was like new the other was also good but the ball joint was shot under loads,so I did in fact get the rubber from that one and install it on the one I removed..now it rides like it's in rails again, thanks Roy
