Hello, New to site. Greetings

I am desperate for help with help. I am assembling a 97 1.3L G13B Metro engine and purchased a crankshaft kit from Rockauto. It is a different style than the one that was originally in the engine. My crankshaft has 8 counter weights and the new one has 4. I need to find out whether or not this crankshaft will work in my engine. I really need to get this engine back in the car by Monday (Memorial day) evening and I'm sure I won't get an answer from anyone. Any information would be appreciated.

if it from a g13b it will work, i think it has 4 counterweight till 97 then switched to 8countrweight 97-2001, (16 valves)

Yeah looks like you maybe right. I found a listing at another crank, kit supplier that says " fully weighted" next to the crank for the 98 and up 16 valve. Can you replace the heavier crankshaft with the lighter one? Can you bolt a 8 valve head to a 16 valve short block?
