I have a 1991 chevy sprint with a performance head package. I can feel around 5k rpm it starts to pull hard and keeps pulling right to the limiter. I feel like it could make power for another 2k rpms at least. How can I remove or increase the rev limiter?

I didn't know G10s had rev limiters apart from the basic laws of physics. I'm not saying they don't have rev limiters, just that this is the first I've heard of it. Could you post a picture of the rev limiter on your car?

fuel and spark cut (ecm related) that's the rev limiter (short of tossing a rod thru the block, or floating the valves :-P )

^ So it would be some sort of programming inside the processor inside the ECU as opposed to some sort of little bolt on black box like a knock sensor. I guess one of the first things these performance chips do is override the rev limiter. interesting, thanks. I've used the tossing a rod through the block rev limiter a few times. This electronic one sounds less messy.
