Was at junkyard fishing for parts a few days back. Saw lots of nice new looking dash clusters. All from 2000 models. Anyone know if they would fit? They look a lot alike.

I recall the tachometer signal/wiring to the tach was different for 1998+ 1.3 SOHC. Not sure if this was also applicable for the 1.0.

Also 1995+ cars have an airbag light circuit. Only 1991-1993 convertibles have an air bag lamp.

And the clear lens cover attached to the cluster may have different retention tab locations.

when i took my GT dohc clutster and install in my 2000 swift, it was bolt on, but 1 wirring difference was lighting the DRL light when it was time to upshift (so there was i wire to cut and plug the drl wire on it) you will have to sort pinouts of 2 clusters and the 2000 tach signal may not work on your engine)

Not worried about a tach cluster. Just looking for a nice new replacement.

Ok got the new cluster installed (from the 2000 model) Works pretty much without issue. So that solves that question. Think the only thing that doesn't work at the moment is the check engine light. But that's because I pulled the bulb :D
