Any one had over torqued their cylinder head? I just machined the head and installed a new gasket, i was using an extension to get to the bolts so i set the torque wrench to 62 instead of the manual 54 to compensate for the extension. Any one had any experience if this would be a problem?

I would bet that it will not be a problem. That's not a huge amount of over torque. All torque wrenches will have some variance and I'm sure manufacturers build a small mount of error factor into the specs. I'd say 44-64 would probably do the job and not cause problems, but of course as close to exact spec as possible is always best!

Thanks man! At least it gas been working fine, i noticed that the cooling of the engine has bern a bit better so i asume that maybe my previous gasket was a bit under torqued and it was letting some compression get into the coolant passages, not much but mayyybe a slight amount. So i guess thst maybe my torque wrench needs to be either calibrated or replaced.
