Will the 1.0 tranny bolt up to a 1.3? There is a 1.0 on ebay for 200 bucks, I have a 1.3 engine, so..... I'll have to switch out the ecu, and the wireing loom also, but thats not the biggest deal, what I've been through in the last 6 months that sounds like a joy! hahah

Capt. Chris the transmission from a 1.0 will bolt right up to your 1.3.
It sounds like you are converting from an automatic. If so you will need to do a lot more than just changing the trans. It will also need axles, motor mounts, flywheel and clutch etc.

I am planning to swap a '99 1.3 into my '91 1.0 and have investigated this quite thoroughly (I hope).

The car is a 5spd, the engine is out of an automatic car, but that shoudn't matter, as long as I change the fly wheel! hahah! It seems to me like it should be a straight bolt in, and ecu swap.

Im questionning about this and if theres have the same tbi and electronic sensors mapping, what about changing the ecu? the ecu of a 3cyl dont have the same gaz/oxygene missing mapping of the 4 cyl? There are anyone can confirm this by anylizing the ecu programming? making a checkum of the two rom can be a parts of the answer?

buy now you have probably found out that the transmission mount doesnt line up in the chassis rail. i had to make a plate (3mm stainless steel angle 40x40mm section) that offset the rubber mount 50mm towards the firewall so that the standard mounting holes in the chassis rail could be used. Apart from that, everything is a direct bolt in!!
