I am going to go turbo on my 95 Metro G10. I am going to be rebuilding the head and setting it up for port injection and running a MegaSquirt. I want to run 6-8 psi, what size turbo should I use? I plan on doing this as cheap as possible, but I want to do a decent job as well.

RHB3/RHF3 is perfect for that application, but not cheap.

Stay as close to that size turbo as possible.

a bump up to an rhb5 like from a mazda mx6 or turbo probe will be easier to find in a wrecking yard here in the usa. a t25 from a saab is good pickins', too.

an rhb3 down here is as rare as hens' teeth these days.

some guys have turbocharged the standard g10 using the existing pistons and connecting rods, the rods probably being the biggest limiting factor for power - at some point they're likely to fold up.

the oem turbo3 uses beefier rods, shared with the g13 twincam, and dished pistons that give a lower (8.5:1) base compression ratio. the factory turbo3 also uses a multiport fuel injection system, 3 separate injectors plus a cold start fuel enrichment injector. the electronic engine controls use a vane type air flow meter and the ignition is a little hotter, using a discrete, externally mounted ignitor.

in my opinion, the biggest hurdle is engine management/ fuel management. figure on using a high flow fuel pump (the stock 3 banger pump won't cut it) and an external fuel pressure regulator. be aware that you'll be pretty much on your own for tuning.

have fun, good luck, and keep us posted.
