Basically I have the MTX-L wideband but I need it installed. Since I have only the O2 sensor from the wideband kit and nothing else, i'm either stuck until I can find someone to come to my place to install it properly, or drive it somewhere that I can have it installed. How bad of a risk would I be taking driving without an O2 sensor? Or is there even a risk?

Keep out of boost/WOT, cruise to your destination and you should be good.....KEEP AWAY FROM THE LOUD PEDAL! :-P

To be even safer, bump up the fuel pressure a notch.

keep in mind what the O2 sensor does. it takes the reading of the oxygen level in the exhuast, for a NB o2 sensor, all it does is read 14.7, but it does this *after* the fact. most of the time its only used for cruseing.

the Megasquirt I for example runs fine without it and only checks it when the throttle is less than 1/3 and the MAP is showing low load. at other times it does not even read it.

some people have tuned and ran N/A cars with out the O2 sensor.

but then again, if it scares you, best to listen to your gut.
