hey guys, watts up I need some help looking for the best set of forged low compression pistons and H-beam or I-beam connecting rods o the market that well not need any modification to install the block is already bored out to 75mm, so am looking for any thing form 8.5-1 or 9.5-1 CR either CP, JE or WISECO

thanks

For the money I would just use vitara pistons. Remember to take into account how many times the head and block have been resurfaced when calculating the CR.

Alternatively try source +1mm G13BB pistons.

Yup on vitara pistons, unless you want to achieve a specific compression ratio...

Honda guys have been using vitara pistons up around the 500hp mark IIRC

I like the spool con rods but I have some questions. Are they going to be 120mm length? I belive the stock rods are 108mm. If I use these rods with vitara pistons what will my quench be? What thickness head gasket should I use to get the proper quench? I am thinking I want to end up about .040". My engine is going in a mosquito helicopter and my plan is 8.5 compression ratio at 8 PSI. I plan on running at 4900 rpm +- 100 rpm only. I will be using a Garrett GT1241 turbo. Engine is from a 1992 geo metro. I am shooting for 85hp max.

For 8 psi, you don't need to lower compression ratio. Keep the stock 10:1

Stock rods are forged already, and proven to be very strong up to 9K RPM.... so, at 5K RPM there is a huge safety margin. Keep in mind that Gonzalez (sub 10 second swift) is using stock rods, delivering some 350whp @ 35psi... I don't see the point of stronger rods.

Use factory clearances and the engine will last forever at those RPM and boost.

Would love to see the build specs of that engine and I believe he did a 9.91 to be exact
