2554 will spool very quickly. You will have quite linear boost delivery. Gt28 could give you plenty more top end but will be a pig as comes on boost much later. For chipped car gt2554 is the go. I had one for ages and excellent on road car. Now use a disco potato on the car set up for drags.

Go with 2554, you won't be sorry. Even if want more boost later the 2554 will give you plenty.

What's the difference?

Both turbos are on the same platform (t2 center housing).

2554 has smaller wheels and housings. It will spool faster.

28r has larger wheels and housings.

Which one will work best?

Depends on the cars use. If you use it for racing the 28 would net more power because you'll rarely be in to low of Rpms to spool.

If you use it for stop and go city and effin around town the 25 would be better because it'll deliver boost faster off idle.

The difference between the two isnt too much. Spool difference is only a couple hundred rpm.

I vote 28. BUT in all honesty it depends on your driving. Neither will dissapoint.

Just to clear up the designation for you guys...

GT25R - GT2554R
GT28R - GT2560R
GT28RS - GT2860RS (Disco Potato)

The GT2560R (GT28R) is a great turbo for the swift GTi motor. The GT28RS will be laggier but obviously with lag comes hp
