Hi,

I'm looking for bearing set for G13B/K engine. This engine will have big Bhp.
I see in USA, you can have Civette 77, ACL, King.. and so on.

Can you tell me which one is the best for std size bearing for turbo use?

I have been told that ACL Aluglide is not as good as Duraglide.

Thanks
Atchi

Hi,

Is this blue box you used in GT-R or Black box?
Blue box is called Duraglide and black box is Aluglide.

Thanks

No, they come in these:

Duraglide and Aluglide are a different type of bearing.

Saying that one bearing is better than another is many times more about a persons opinion than it is about the quality of the actual bearing....but my choice (opinion) is based on lots of different engines, not only the Suzuki 1.3. I'd like to add that I'd rate the factory Suzuki bearing as good or better than all those listed.
#1 Clevite (if an H series is available that would suit high loads.)
#2 King ... made very similar the factory bearing, and the old Vandervels
#3 ACL ...sorry, I just don't use them if there is any other choice.

All this said, you are assured that the Std size bearings might have higher load carrying ability depending on the manufacturing process. Undersize bearing are often made with a thicker layer of the soft face material (different bearings use different material)
...but a thicker layer of softer material (if that happens to be how your bearing is made) is not a good thing for a high boost turbo engine.
