What do ya think? Is it sized correctly?
Com:A/R:0.60---42.5mm
Turb:A/R0.64---46.2mm

Manifold looks ok, is turbo junk?

I'd like to hear from 1st hand experience, not "I know a guy that knows a guy that got one, it blew up." :)

that's a straight up ripped off copy of a turbine tech exhaust manifold. i saw it when they came out and checked it off my list because i have very strong feelings about people ripping off some other guy's handiwork.

they say that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. in this case it's a poor copy of a great turbo manifold and i wouldn't support the chinese in stealing another guy's business bread and butter.

it's a thin wall stainless steel reproduction that would more than likely fail in short order. exhaust gas temps are pretty high and it would be like a blow torch on those thin walls. the chinese repops of turbos have gotten a lot better so i'd probably have more faith in that than the manifold.

my 2 cents.

Trim is about right? 1: For quick spool, 2: Mid range, 3: peak rpm power? 4: May never spool up?...

That's an OZMotorsports manifold & from its reviews its a pretty sturdy manifold & the turbo looks to be a Godspeed unit

better enlarge those pics and look at the tubing wall thickness again.

that will be holed and burnt up in a heart beat.

i think you should buy it, bolt it on an engine, and run it. post lots of pics and give us a review.

I've never ran a turbo on a Swift 1.3L... just wondering if the turbo is close to correct size.

I'm using this manifold (not the turbo) Been on car for two months had it off about 3 times to repair big cracks where turbo flange meets pipes on mani (lots of weld).

when it arrived the flanges where warped and needed skimming (resufacing) so they were flat with gaskets, engine and turbo.

other than that it works well

OH and the holes on manifold flange are way bigger than bolts and studs so you need to fiddle when installing to get it straight and lined up with exhaust ports.

That probably has to do with stainless steel expanding so much. If you use stainless you'll need ALOT of clearance around bolt holes so it doesn't shear them off when it expands.

Lol, I'm amazed how good those guys are in the conterfeit business. That manifold is 100% carbon copy of the design I was making back in 2002 before starting the twin scroll trend. :D
