As per title, would this be a good turbo for the GT?

Go there. Punch . in your engine info and see what the results are. take the boost psi and convert to pressure ratio then find some turbo maps and see where that takes you. For my 1.0l it require a gt2860. So it all depends on what you want to achieve For power

Edit. I should say I'm going with a gt25/28 hybird in my case

So say you want 150 HP with a 7000 rpm redline. The engine will require 18.69 lb/min of air at 12.1 psi. That converts to 1.8 pressure ratio at sea level. So looking at a turbo map find 19 lb/min at the bottom and 1.8 p/r on the side and see where it sits.

As you will see in the pic for those specs on a gt25 turbo it puts you right smack dab in the center of the most efficient part which means it would be perfect for that set up.
