looking to convert my Samurai with GT motor to turbo. Heard the D-series motor has the exact same exit port locations. the plan is get one cut the flange off and weld on the GT flange which I have sitting here. But what year and model of the D- series mani should I be looking for?

I don't think I've heard of using a Honda manifold before. Hacking one up and welding the GT flange sounds like a lot of hassle. I have a friend here who uses a manifold on his turbo GTi designed for the old mazda miata 1.6. Bolts straight up iirc.

Instant_shine: can you confirm for me what he used and how he made it work? I found a few top mount turbo manifolds for the mite 1.6 for around $100 USD!!

Looking at the pics on Ebay listings for Miata manifold I would say that it will not fit G13B DOHC . Bolt hole pattern is different , exhaust ports are oval on Miata and round on G13B .
You can make anything fit with enough skill and labor but this one is definitely not straight bolt on fit.
