Post subject: 1600 rods info
PostPosted: Thu Apr 04, 2002 10:12 pm
What can be done to the 1600 bottom end to beef it up? I'd like to take one out as far as possible , need to build a torque motor for off-road. Looking to get close to 1800cc's with it. Plan to use a Tracker 1.6 block, or Sidekick for a donor . I like the stroke length , but the rods in those motors suck . Is there any decent cranks that will fit? What about available pistons? Looking for something like 9.5:1 compression height. Plan to use a highly flowed 8 valve Samurai head, and my 38mm Weber carb setup . Got the thing flowed to 500cfm with my Swift GT bottom end so far . Thanks,
Sarge
