My swap is almost finished if u wanna check it out go to
http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/425924/3

This weekend i'm gonna fill her up with oil and see if it wanna start and how it runs. Then i will make an apointment with the dynoguy to let him finetune my SAFC2 and my cam gears.
Image

A fellow dutch suzuki nut nox6 had done his swap a while back and it's already up and running great and i hope he doesn't mind i use some off his pics in here to explain something to the future 1.6 DOHC enthousiasts :P

A few things that will need some attention when swapping

U will have to enlarge some off the holes in ur 1.6 head gasket to make sure cooling fluid can flow like it should.
Image

U will have to make a plate thick enough to make ur back engine support fit also u will have to adjust the half shaft housing to make sure the axels will fit properly and u can bolt on the housing like it should we both enlarged the holes to 13mm and took 7.5mm off the back of the housing
(Jarda his made drawings for such a half shaft housing so if u wanna do it the better way u can contact him about his half shaft housing)
Image

Also the hood of the car won't close so u will have to put some rings under the engine supports so the engine will lay a little lower in the engine bay.

website nox6

This is the website of nox6 including the 1.6 conversion. It is in dutch though, but worldlingo.com makes a pretty good translation.

ok just a couple q's i have a 1.6 bottem end and the doch head running witha teo4h turbo running a custom ecu ( started life as a stock hond ecu)
and custom built manifold, honda dissy, and honda sensors. The tunning is the easy part of this build but i have come up witha few concerns
rods look weak and i need to find a solution?
as for piston has anybody used a honda piston? with what sucess? I have many extra pistons laying around but i do not want to bother if i can find a better solution. I am aming to push 250-300 hp @ 4500-6000 With the tunning and the new addition of a water injection system I have no fear but I don't believe the bottom end is up to it?
what is the redline of said combo?
can this head handle 6000+ what rpm does valve float occur @

I'm not certain what your question relates to - these conversions are essentially putting the 16v DOHC head on a G16B

ok guys this is what i have to say about this build first off this nonsense about they 1.6 engines being week foolishness i have built this swap and its currently in my car im reving 7000on shifting everday i open my car cuz i cant help it :), for about 3 month and nothing has happened to it performance wise there is no comparison the 1.6 at 7000 with the 3.5 dif out of a 1.3 swift is beating blacktop 20valves and sr20s in b13 sentras convincingly so far i have had no issues with my car and its very fun to drive it builds way more power than a gti engine and the best part is when im ready i can slap on a turbo and go im on stock internals with some head work and lighten pulleys fully rebuilt 1.6 standard computer everything if u want to know anything feel free to ask also my biggest draw back is the weight transfer is different and u will nheed to step up to 15 or put on some good tyres when i corner now im finding the car is burning rubber in corners and also u will need stiffer springs if u want the car to handle better have not got that far as yet but when i do i will update i have loads of photos when i get around to it i will post them :)

Post subject:  Re:  Examples of 1.6L conversions, general info -STICKY TOP

I have a G16KV installed in my Samurai and am wondering since I am pulling it to rebuild it, is there anything I can economically do to help in the horsepower area? I know it would be a stretch but, can a DOHC head be adapted to my block? Otherwise, is there anything I should or could to to get all I can out of my motor to turn my 33" tires. I have owned the motor for about 5 years and have to stick with it since that is the harness I have installed and cannot afford to start over from scratch. Wish I had found out about the swift engine sooner. Any suggestions are more than welcome and appreciated. At this point it only has a SS 4 into 1 header and 1/14 inche exhaust that I had when the 1.3 was in it. Unfortunately I had just put a hotter cam in before I did the engine swap. Dollars down the drain as I figure that cam cannot be used in the current motor. My motor is out of a 97 Suzuki X-90. Thanx for any help you can provide. Getting ready to order the rebuild parts so need to start accumulating the info soon.

When I upgraded the cam in my 1.3 it did not give me what I wanted which was more top end. How far should I go with the cam and what will it do for my offroad or on road performance. I wrote to them even tho they seem to specialize in 3 cylinder motors. I guess hence their name, 3tech.
