I took the engine out of my vitara last weekend, replaced a conrod and put it back in. The rods don't like 19psi much when hitting the overboost limiter that doesn't have hysteresis. One of the rods was bent like a banana... I'll put in a picture of the rod when i get around it.
Now, I'm backing the boost down to 15psi for a good safety margin.

Well, those rods are unbelievable! honestly, I don't think a honda rod would bent that much without breaking out.

Indeed, they are not made from cast iron. It's not a very hard steel either.

Those are the rods in my 2005 echo HB. I don't think they'll support lot of boost. What d'ya think? :lol:

Ah, the Yaris...
I nearly rolled one 2004 Yaris because it's antilock brakes were so awful. I threw it into a corner while on the brakes, as soon as the rear left wheel went off the ground the brakes were cut and I went a helluva lot faster through the corner than I intended to.

My car is set up for lapping with B&G springs + koni yellows and 16" wheels with P-zero tires. It handle surprisingly well.
